The ARRL & Exam Tools
Four steps to becoming a VE.
Read the ARRL VE Manual
Download and read the ARRL Volunteer Examiner manuals, focusing heavily on Chapter 2, "Becoming a Volunteer Examiner."
Get ARRL accreditation
Complete the ARRL VE exam and application. It's open book, using the manuals from step 1. When you're done, send it to the ARRL VEC. The email and mailing address are on the application.
Get Exam Tools accreditation
Once the ARRL accredits you, register for an Exam Tools account and get accredited there too. You'll upload a copy of your current General or Extra class license so they can verify you.
